About Us

The Stowaways started in 2008 with a small group of Senior Golfers from Stowmarket Golf Club occasionally playing at other courses. Over the next four years the numbers grew and the list was closed to new members in 2012. There is a waiting list which ensures that as members leave our numbers remain the same.

We have around eight fixtures each year and normally carry out a survey annually to decide on the venues for the next 12 months. Since 2012 members have travelled to France, Belgium and Ireland

In 2021 a one off membership fee was introduced - see below.

Stayaways

We return to Ireland on Tuesday 11th June and this year we have 12 participants. The group is going a little further afield and will be based at Wexford to play the course there, as well as Rosslare and Bunclody. It is around a 2 hour trip from Dublin airport and we are hoping for good weather in the "Sunny South East". If that fails to materialise we can always take solace in the notable bars of Wexford as well as enjoying the famous local strawberries!
